unanswered questions
Today's episode of "Strange Sounds" is about music that asks questions: Frank Zappa, Ken Dodd, Charles Ives, The Branflakes, The Sparks, The Nice, Wim de Bie, Herman Finkers, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Jacco Gardner & his Psychedelic Garden, Marie Laforet and many others.
The biggest mystery however is how Marco Kalnanek manages to fit Dutch carnaval music into this theme. This question won't be answered too, we're afraid....
In the second hour we have a special guest: Hans Groen, local composer of musicals and symfonic pop-projects. We'll take a half an hour dive into his music.
The conclusion of the show is produced by Ton Rückert. He brings a mysterious quarter of an hour compilation of exotica-ring music.

Maria José e o seu "Mini-Trio"
Jeroen Diepenmaat has sent in two wonderfull covers by
"an innocent girl, perhaps 8 or 9 years old, playing the keyboard/organ/something. Probably recorded in the late 60's. Unfortunately there's no date on this and googling for maria jose doe'sn't work either.
Anyway; it's about the music and Maria sings and plays four songs on this ep, of wich these two are the most interresting:
Felizes Seremos, know to all of us as Happy Together by the Turtles
and San Francisco better know in the version of Scott McKenzie.
Maria José sings them in a portugese translation wich sounds so adoring and sweet."
