Splogman covers (5)

Saint Nicolas Macarena
(Not the most sophisticated song I've ever sung, but it's for the kids' performance for Saint Nicolas and I enjoyed recording it.)

Sven Asmussen or not?

At Keep Swinging they are wondering why Svend Asmussen seems to be absent at two downloadable Decca recordings of the Sven Asmussen Quintet. Or is it Sven playing the guitar here?
There are more questions about this record. Check it out:

Glamour Girl
New release WM recordings
Dago is an american slang word which immigrants of italian origin living in the Usa in the '20 used to be called by. As for the kind of music we play we think there is only one thing to be said about it: think about the sixties!(especially recommended by Splogman!)

Für Elise 54 (?)
It's been a while since I've found Elise in a different dress, but going through my compilation records for coming friday's radioshow I found:
Fredi - Rakkauden sinfonia
I don't know much about him, except the fact that his real name is Matti Kalevi Siitonen and that represented Finnland at the Eurovison song contest in 1967.
Does anyone have a picture of him. There are several faces on the record sleeve, but I don't have a clue

wonderfull evening

Attended a concert, a composer's portrait of Annette Kruisbrink this evening. I enjoyed it very much and I was particulary impressed by the young students who performed a world premiere of a piece called "Grasses" for soprano, violin and soundtrack (which is the new name for what used to be called "tape"). Now I really experienced what a versatile composer Annette is, but I also saw two obvious talents, with big promises for the future.
The evening has been recorded and shall be broadcasted on local radio and will be consequently downloadable in the near future. I will post the link on this site.

Comfortably numb
No media-post today. Just got back from a rather pleasant "teambuilding" day out in the woods with my collegues.
