auto-jamming

I've been experimenting with multitrack recording today. Nothing complicated, just playing what came up in my head, using also a few instruments I'm not that terribly skilled in: steel string guitar, mandola, cello, home made bass flute, door keys, etc... Each track was recorded in one take (except when it was really bad ;-)I hardly edited, I just erased two or three seconds somewhere and I added some electronic effects afterwards.
The result is far from perfect, but I enjoyed myself and that's what making music is all about to me. I would like to encourage you to do the same. Just take that old banjo from upstairs, blow the dust away and start exploring it's sounds...

Saint Nicholas Eve

It's Saint Nicholas Eve in The Netherlands. I've told you about it last year on 52 weeks: week 49

Today I have a streetorgan recording for you, playing one of the most wellknown Sinterklaas-songs:

Oh, kom maar eens kijken

Originally this is a German melody named "Freut euch des lebens"
