(From the album: Chansons, no further info found)

and nobody mourns
no friend, no wife and no family
Only his old sloop
lies as a widow on the beach

7. Livia - Frits van Dam
(Livia Versteegh, from the album: Hanna Pirannah, no further info found)

Frits was a very small boy
Frits was not like all the other children
Frits didn't want to play
Frits wanted to philosophize
Why does my mother
put her teeth in a glas
Why does my father's face
turn red, when there's nudity on TV
Why does my grandpa smoke sigars and no hash
But his biggest question was
Where do you go to
when you are passed away

Frits, so absorbed by that question
decided to find out
He held his breath

Frits was a very small angel
He loved the stars
and played on top of the clouds
and at night God the father himself
would put little Frits to bed

Sleep well, Frits

Dedicated to Harry de Groot (Dutch accordeon player, composer, poet and conductor who died last week at the age of 83)
